Do What Makes You Happy
Hi everyone, my name is Danny Carrero and I'm known in the epoxy industry as DanzHandz. I'm a local epoxy installer in New Jersey — I've been in business for 5 years doing epoxy installations on floors and countertops. I also have different skills from woodworking, countertop making, cabinet painting, and more. My passion was always working with my hands.
Before I got into this trade, I was in the printing industry. 20+ years, 9-to-5. I worked myself up from machine operator, to mechanics, to manager.
How did I get into epoxy and home renovations? My brother passed away and I wasn't the same. A few months later, Covid hit and the company I was working for took a massive hit and was forced to shut doors. I was unemployed. So many things went through my mind. Losing my brother, my job, I had a 3 year old baby, my wife was starting out a new career. I didn't know where I fit, so my wife told me to do what makes me happy.
So I did. Not many people do what makes them happy or pursue their dreams. You just gotta have faith and trust in God. Everything else will just fall in place. I'm proud and happy in what I do. And love and respect the people that came along with it.
